New Year celebrations celebrated around the world

From New Zealand to Australia to India, France, and Brazil, people around the world welcomed the New Year with fireworks and fireworks displays.

Local news reports said that hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Times Square in New York City, USA. As is tradition, a 6-ton ball made of three-pointed crystal was raised to the top of the New Year’s Eve pole. The famous TLC and Jonas Brothers also performed at the New Year’s Eve party.

Parties were held all over New York City to welcome the New Year, and about 350,000 people attended the New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas, known as the casino capital. Many people came to watch the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, and about 200,000 people attended the Country Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee.

Auckland, the capital of New Zealand, is the first country in the world to ring in the New Year, 18 hours before New York’s Times Square. American Samoa, 24 hours behind New Zealand, is among the last to ring in the New Year.

While people around the world are celebrating the New Year with festivities, fighting continues on New Year’s Eve in countries including Myanmar, Sudan and Ukraine.
