Authorities are investigating whether the Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, is connected to the New Orleans attack.
Tesla car explosion kills one in Las Vegas
President Joe Biden said law enforcement is investigating whether the Tesla Cybertruck that exploded in front of the Trump Hotel is connected to the New Orleans crash. The Cybertruck driver died and several others were injured when it exploded Wednesday morning.
Photos released by Las Vegas police after the explosion showed gas canisters, camping fuel canisters and fireworks motors exploding in the back of the truck. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the Cybertruck explosion was not caused by a mechanical failure, writing on social media.
The truck was a rental from Colorado. The Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas is owned by President-elect Donald Trump’s Trump Organization.
